Therapy for Trauma, Relationship Patterns, and Burnout in NYC & Across New York

Therapy is where you come to understand yourself more deeply.

New York City psychotherapist offering relational, trauma-informed therapy for adults and couples.

Psychodynamic, trauma-informed therapy for adults, couples, and teens

On the outside, you seem capable and “fine.”

But inside, things feel more complicated. You second-guess yourself, feel disconnected in your relationships, or have a sense that something isn’t quite right.

You might not fully understand why things feel this way, only that something isn’t working the way it should.

You may find yourself:

  • pulled into the same relationship dynamics, even when you want things to go differently

  • struggling with self-doubt, emotional ups and downs, or a lingering sense of disconnection

  • feeling exhausted by the weight of others’ expectations — and your own

  • carrying the imprint of past experiences or trauma, including childhood sexual abuse, complex trauma, or chronic emotional neglect

Therapy offers a space to slow down and begin to understand what’s happening beneath the surface.

My Approach

I offer a warm, collaborative space where we can slow down and explore what feels most important. My presence is reflective and attuned. I listen closely, follow your lead, and offer observations or reflections when they feel genuinely meaningful rather than working from a fixed agenda.

Together, we focus on understanding the deeper patterns shaping your emotions, relationships, and sense of self. I pay close attention to what's happening beneath the surface, because that's often where the most important material lives and where meaningful change begins.

  • A focus on the patterns beneath symptoms

  • Attention to relationship dynamics, including the therapy relationship

  • Sensitivity to how trauma is held and experienced in the body

  • EFT-informed work with couples navigating recurring cycles

Therapy offers a different kind of relationship: one where you don’t have to hide parts of yourself

Some themes that often bring people to my practice include:

  • Burnout, exhaustion, and a sense that something has to change

  • Relationship patterns that repeat and feel hard to shift

  • Complex trauma, childhood sexual abuse, or chronic emotional neglect

  • Grief, ambiguous loss, and the disorientation of life transitions

  • Questions of identity, including gender, sexuality, and LGBTQ+ experience

  • Anxiety, depression, and persistent self-doubt

  • Going through the motions, feeling disconnected from yourself and others

You don’t need to see yourself exactly here to be a good fit.

Services

Individual Therapy

For adults who want to understand themselves more deeply—what drives them, what holds them back, and what it might look and feel like to live differently. Our work draws on your history, your present experience, and what unfolds between us in the room.

Couples Therapy

Most couples come in not because they've stopped caring, but because they've gotten caught in cycles that leave each person feeling alone. Using an Emotionally Focused approach, we work to understand those cycles, reach the feelings underneath them, and build toward a more secure and responsive connection.

Adolescent Therapy

Therapy for teens navigating identity, relationships, family, and the particular pressures of adolescence. I work collaboratively with both young people and, when appropriate, their families.

Support Groups

Process-oriented groups that offer the kind of insight and connection that emerges through shared experience. Current and upcoming groups available upon inquiry.
