Teen & Young Adult Therapy in New York

I offer psychodynamic, trauma-informed therapy for adolescents and young adults in NYC (in-person & telehealth) and across New York via telehealth navigating identity development, anxiety, depression, relational stress, and the impact of trauma.

Adolescence and early adulthood are periods of rapid emotional and psychological change. Many teens feel overwhelmed by academic pressure, social comparison, family conflict, or questions about identity and belonging. Some struggle quietly with shame, self-doubt, emotional withdrawal, or trauma that feels difficult to talk about.

Therapy offers a reflective, collaborative space where teens can feel understood without judgment or pressure to perform. My approach integrates relational psychodynamic therapy and somatic awareness, helping young people develop emotional regulation, insight, and a stronger sense of self.

When appropriate, I work collaboratively with parents to support healthier communication and reduce conflict at home, while maintaining the teen’s privacy and autonomy.

This work may be a good fit if:

  • Your teen is struggling with anxiety, depression, or trauma

  • There are repeated communication breakdowns at home

  • Your adolescent feels withdrawn, reactive, or overwhelmed

  • Your young adult is navigating major life transitions, including transition to college, early career, or independent life

If you’re considering therapy for your teen or young adult, I offer a free consultation to see whether working together feels like a good fit.
